In Consumer Evolution, a component is a description that allows detailing the parts that make up the structure of certain equipment.
Its use is optional and allows you to supplement the asset information when you need to represent in greater detail what elements are part of a team.
Components are primarily used to define structures associated with a type of equipment. In this way, equipment belonging to that type can share the same component organization.
💡 Components are not created directly within each team. They are first registered as an entity and then can be incorporated into a structure.
What are the components used for?
The components allow:
- Detail the parts that make up a team.
- Organize teams with a common structure.
- Facilitate the identification of the part of the equipment on which a task will be performed.
- Supplement the asset information without making its use mandatory.

Relationship with the structures
Components can be linked to a structure to define which parts make up a particular type of equipment.
A single structure can include several components and, where appropriate, different levels of components.
