The request categories allow you to define different configurations for creating and managing work requests according to the needs of each circuit.
Their use is not mandatory. When used, each category can establish specific conditions related to available assets, urgency levels, work order generation, responsible parties, tasks, authorizations, and approvals.
Create a request category
- Go to Settings > Request Categories .
- Select Create .
- Complete the category name.
- Define whether the category will function as a container.
- Configure the corresponding options.
- Save the record.

Container categories
It's a container
Enable " Is container" when the category will only be used to organize other categories.
These categories function as groupers within the request category structure.

Configure a category
When the category does not function as a container, different sections are available to customize its behavior.
Selection filters
It allows you to limit the available values when creating a request belonging to that category.
It is possible to apply filters to:
- Locations.
- Types of equipment.
- Location types.
- Types of requests.
- Levels of urgency.
Generate OT
It allows you to configure the automatic generation of a work order for requests belonging to the category.
Managers
It allows you to configure the circuit of managers that will be used to handle requests in the category.
The managers allow the centralization of the request management in specific users.
Default tasks
It allows you to define the tasks that will be used by default for requests in the category.
Authorization
It allows you to configure the authorization process that requests must follow when applicable.
Agreements
It allows establishing the conditions related to compliance after the resolution of the application.

Once configured, the category becomes available for use in work requests and applies the conditions defined for its management process.
