Consuman Evolution allows you to define additional fields to record specific information based on the type of equipment or location.
This configuration allows the requested data to be adapted to the characteristics of each type of asset.
💡 Additional fields are configured by equipment type or location type , so they may vary depending on the type selected.
Configure fields for an asset type
- Go to Field Settings .
- Select the type of equipment or location you want to work on.
- Define the additional fields that will be available for assets of that type.
- Determine whether each field will be optional or required.
- Save the settings.

Define the mandatory nature of the fields
Additional fields can be configured as follows:
- Optional: allow you to save the asset without completing the data.
- Required: These must be completed in order to save the asset.
📌 The configuration is applied to the assets corresponding to the selected equipment type or location.
View the fields in an asset
When creating or editing an asset, the additional fields available are determined based on the selected type .
For this reason, different types of equipment or locations may require different information.

Considerations
- Configure as mandatory only the information necessary to register the asset.
- Use optional fields when the information can be completed later.
- Define the fields according to the characteristics of each type of equipment or location.
- Review the configuration before performing a bulk asset upload.
