Why can only the last read be edited?

Only the most recent reading can be edited to preserve the traceability and consistency of the historical data. Modifying a previous reading could affect frequency calculations and schedules already generated. If there is an incorrectly recorded reading that is not the most recent, all subsequent readings must be deleted and re-recorded in the correct order.
