Triggers allow you to define when the planning of a task included in a program should be generated .
Each detail of the program can use a different trigger depending on the required maintenance criteria: elapsed time, asset utilization, combination of conditions, or fulfillment of an event.
Configure a trigger
- Go to Operations > Programs .
- Create a new program or log into an existing one.
- Add or edit the corresponding details.
- Select the trigger type .
- Complete the required information for the selected type.
- Save the changes.

Time-based activator
Use By time when the task needs to be planned according to a specific schedule.
Repeat each
Specify the number of time units that must elapse between each execution.
Unit of time
Select the unit used to calculate the periodicity:
- Day.
- Week.
- Month.
- Year.
Base date
Specify the date from which the configured periodicity will begin to be calculated.

📌 The base date serves as a starting point for calculating the next executions of the task.
Frequency activator
Use By frequency when the execution of the task depends on the accumulated use of the asset, such as operating hours, kilometers or cycles.
This type of trigger is related to an accumulated meter and requires recording readings to update the value used by the program.
Meter
Select the meter used to monitor the frequency.
Repeat each
Indicate the frequency with which the task should be performed.
Base frequency
Complete the value used as a starting point for calculating the next runs.

📌 The operation of frequency-based programs depends on the meter readings being recorded and kept up to date.
Time and frequency trigger
Use By time and frequency when the task must be performed upon fulfillment of one of two conditions:
- A specific period of time.
- A specific meter reading.
The schedule is generated when either of the two configured conditions is met first.
To configure it, complete the data corresponding to the time trigger and the frequency trigger.

Dual frequency activator
Use Dual Frequency when the execution of a task needs to be monitored by two different meters.
This type of activator allows considering two criteria for using the asset within the same program detail.

Event trigger
Use By Event when the task needs to be planned as a result of a specific condition and not through a fixed periodicity.
The event may be related to:
- A data point recorded in a measurement.
- A failure.
- One answer.
When the configured condition is met, Evolution generates the corresponding schedule for the task.

❗Checklists are planned using Check -type tasks linked to a schedule. For each task, the corresponding asset must be defined and the trigger configured to determine when its schedule should be generated.
Once the trigger is configured, the program uses its conditions to determine when to generate the schedule for each task.
